Indoor air pollution: an international health problem!
The quality of the indoor air we breathe determines our health and well-being. The less dust, allergens, micro-organisms, and chemical contaminants we inhale, the lower the risk of getting sick.
Demonstrated by studies by leading institution WHO (World Health Organization) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency - the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency), indoor air in our living, working and mobility areas are often 2 to 5 and even up to 100 times more polluted than the air outside due to biological and chemical loads!
The problem is exacerbated by modern methods of energy-efficient construction. As a result, inadequate ventilation often causes undisturbed expansion in our indoor spaces with bacteria, viruses, dust mites, mold, particulate matter and pollen.
Given the increasing burden of particulate matter and pollutants, clean indoor air is no longer a given. The quality of breathing air has deteriorated significantly in recent years. Everywhere in our indoor spaces, bacteria, viruses, dust mites, mold, particulate matter, and
pollen can spread undisturbed.
Plenty of reasons to pay attention to the quality of your indoor air!

Clean Air Optima® Air Purifier DUAL Airflow System
Effective air cleaning in eight steps::
1. Two-way horizontal suction
Suction of polluted indoor air by the low-noise, powerful fan.
2. Intelligent Particle Sensor™
The built-in smart sensor measures and controls air quality fully automatically. The 3-speed fan automatically anticipates the measured PM2.5 level in terms of indoor air solids load.
3. Pre-filter
Two prefilters capture larger dust particles and other pollutants, such as pet hair and dander.
4. Two TRUE HEPA (H13) filters with nano silver coating
Both of these filters purify 99.97% of all suspended matter down to 0.3 micrometers (0.3 µm) from the air. The HEPA filter is the most effective air filter for removing: (fine) dust, allergens and other solid particles.
5. Two active carbon filters
Both active carbon filters effectively filter gases, chemicals, cigarette smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOC) and odors from indoor air.
6. Two UV-C LED Lamps
The lamp's ultraviolet light (UV-C radiation) with a wavelength of 254nm kills health-damaging microorganisms such as: germs, viruses, molds (mold spores) and bacteria. In addition, microorganisms that have accumulated in the device are destroyed.
7. DUO ionizer ozone-free DIN EN 60335-2-65
Two ionizers with a total capacity of > 4,000,000 negative ions / cm³ are dispersed throughout the room, neutralizing harmful substances and odors.
Negative ions attach themselves to dust particles, microorganisms and other unwanted substances in the air and bind them together. The particles thus become heavier than the air and fall down or are filtered out of the air by the air cleaner.
8. Purified air
Clean, healthy breathing air flows from the top of the air purifier into the indoor space.
Effectiveness Clean Air Optima® air purifiers with CADR certification
The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) effectiveness criterion determined in vendor-independent laboratory testing puts the Clean Air Optima® air purifier CA-510Pro Smart at the top among compact systems for improving indoor air quality. The highly effective filter system purifies micro - fine particles down to 0.3 micrometers (0.3 µm) from the air with 99.97% efficiency.
The CADR value indicates the result with which the air purifier filters particles such as smoke, dust -and pollen from indoor air. This is measured by independent agencies in standard rooms up to 20.4sqm, with measured values ranging from 10 to 450 cubic feet of particle-free air per minute.
The CADR value of the Intelligent HEPA UV ionizer air purifier CA-510Pro Smart is 468 M³ of particle-free air/hour .
The Intelligent HEPA UV ionizer air purifier CA-510Pro Smart assures the user of healthy, clean breathing air in the indoor environment.
Intelligent Particle Sensor™ and digital monitor
The built-in smart sensor measures and controls air quality fully automatically. The fan automatically anticipates with 3 speeds the load of indoor air with solid particles measured by the sensor.
The air purifier type CA-510Pro Smart provides automatic and precise feedback on the current air quality via the digital monitor by measuring PM2.5 level, temperature and humidity in the indoor area. .
Particle measurement (PM 2.5) Air quality:
<80 Green - Good
80-150 Blue - Moderate
>150 Red - Poor
Particle measurement/Fine dust/PM2.5
Particulate matter is a collective term for particulate air pollution with particles small enough to be inhaled. Particulate matter in the air can have harmful effects on health. In 1999 / 2008, the European Union established limits for particulate matter PM10 (particulate matter with a particle size of about 10 micrometers / or 10 microns) and PM2.5 (particulate matter with a particle size of about 2.5 micrometers / or 2.5microns).
The main source of particulate matter especially PM10 in the indoor environment is tobacco smoke. In addition, particulate matter such as PM2.5 comes from the fireplace, from baking and frying and vacuuming.
Measurement of relative humidity and temperature
Important aspects for effective air cleaning: relative humidity between 40 - 60% and a room temperature of approx. 20 - 23° C in the indoor area.

Usage and maintenance
Cleaning exterior and Intelligent Particle Sensor™
Cleaning the exterior of the air purifier:
1. Turn off the device and unplug it.
2. Use a soft and damp cloth to clean the unit from dust and dirt.
3. Make sure no water gets into the device.
Cleaning Intelligent Particle Sensor™
Clean the air quality sensor every 6 to 8 weeks.
When the PM2.5 value shows deviation, dust on the sensor lens could be the cause.
Clean the sensor lens with a cotton swab:
1. Remove the cover from the sensor
2. Clean the sensor lens with a cotton swab and water as directed in the manual. Next, dry the lens with a clean cotton swab.
3. Replace the sensor cover.
4. Do not wipe the sensor lens with alcohol or any other organic solvent.
Warning:
If the humidity in the room is very high, there is a risk of condensation on the air quality sensor. This may cause the air quality indicator (digital display - particulate measurement) to indicate poor air quality when it should not. In this case, we recommend cleaning the air quality sensor or not using the air purifier in automatic mode.
Cleaning and replacement of filters
Replacing the composite TRUE HEPA and activated carbon filters:
The Clean Air Optima® intelligent air purifier CA-510Pro Smart is equipped with a filter life monitoring mechanism, which indicates that the filters should be replaced after 2,000 working hours.
To indicate that the composite filters (HEPA + activated carbon filter) need to be replaced, the indicator light on the air purifier begins to flash.
Reset the timer for the composite filter by holding down the Speed and Timer buttons (about 3 seconds). When the indicator light goes off, the timer has been successfully reset.
Depending on usage, the filters should be replaced every 6/8 months.
Signs of depleted filters: increased noise level, decreased airflow, clogged filter and increased presence of odors. If the HEPA filter changes color, from white to gray or black then the filter must be replaced with a new filter. If the HEPA filter remains white it does NOT need to be replaced.
For optimal effect, the permanent pre-filter in Clean Air Optima® intelligent air purifier CA-510Pro Smart and the TRUE HEPA filters can be cleaned monthly in between with a soft brush or your vacuum cleaner (see air purifier manual CA-510Pro Smart).
Warning
Never wet or rinse the composite filters (HEPA + activated carbon filter) with water.
